What young entrepreneurs could learn from elite cyclists.

July 22, 2013

This week we had the final of the Apprentice and the Tour de France finale in Paris.
The contrast was marked. In the Apprentice a group of twenty somethings spend their time making excuses for poor performance and spend their time slating their fellow team members.
The Tour de France sees a team of performance athletes helping each other to win stages and ultimately the race. At the end of each stage the winner praises his colleagues and when they fail, they never blame their team, but criticise themselves for letting their team down.
As they entered Paris last night, Froome was determined that the Team should all cross the line together.
How good does it get.
Those that see a future in business should study the team dynamics from the real success typified by those that race in the Tour de France.
